Ministry

We believe that parents should have the primary role of discipleship in a child’s life. It’s our job, as the church community, to offer support and encouragement to the parents, and love and gentleness to the children.

The mission of our Kids Ministry is “Bless, and do not hinder.” We aim to pray for every child, provide them a safe environment where they feel welcome and loved, and to talk with them about Jesus, sing, pray, and play.

“And they were bringing children to him that he might touch them, and the disciples rebuked them. But when Jesus saw it, he was indignant and said to them, ‘Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God. Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.’ And he took them in his arms and blessed them, laying his hands on them.”

What to Expect on Sunday

Classrooms Downstairs (during the service)

  • Classroom 1 is for ages 0–2

  • Classroom 2 is for ages 3–4

Older kids are all joyfully invited to participate in the service upstairs.

Check-in opens downstairs at 9:45am.

All kids are invited to participate in the service!

For first-time guests there is a small gift box for the kids, ideal for ages 3–8.

Before the sermon Pastor Jon gives a kids message, and invites all the kids who want to come forward to come up to the front for a few minutes to hear about the main point of the text that week, and to be prayed for.

God gave kids the wiggles and the squeaks, and they don’t bother us at all! So please don’t hesitate to bring your children with you to the service. There is a great deal of value in our kids seeing us worship and submit to Christ with our brothers and sisters!
