Dig into a Bible study, together.

We love these Bible studies from Sola Media and Core Christianity. If Christ Church is your home church and you’d like to facilitate a Bible study (one-to-one up to groups of six), then we’d like to help make that happen. Christ Church will supply the materials, and the pastors will be available for questions, concerns, and general help and oversight.

All these studies include guided readings, personal questions for reflection, and group discussion questions in the Leader’s Guide.

Next steps: review the studies available, fill out the form, and one of your Elders will get you the materials and help you get the Bible study going as soon as possible.

  • This is a complete, self-contained study on the Christian faith, aimed at building a solid foundation in the basics. Each lesson complements a chapter in Michael Horton’s book, Core Christianity: Finding Yourself In God’s Story, equipping you to more fully experience the confidence and joy God has for you in Jesus Christ.

  • We’re always tempted to add something to our salvation, to base a little bit of our standing before God on our achievements, our righteousness, or our law-keeping. That’s why Paul writes his letter to the Galatians. This Bible study by Pastor Adriel will help you get the gospel right so that you can live in the freedom Christ has purchased for you.

  • Does God speak to us? What’s the difference between the New Testament and the Old Testament? Why did the Son of God need to become a human being? These are questions we often receive at Core Christianity. And whether you’re a new believer or have been walking with Christ for decades, Core Christianity’s Hebrews Bible study will help you see how God says everything he wants to say to us through Jesus, the high priest who sacrificed himself for our salvation.

  • With sixty-six books written over more than a thousand years by multiple authors, the Bible is more like a library than a book, and because of this, many people struggle to make sense of it. Our How to Read the Bible study will introduce you to the history of the Bible, key concepts that help tie the Old and New Testaments into one cohesive whole, and key ideas from the main sections of the Bible. This study will help you grow in confidence as you read the Bible with greater understanding.

  • The Gospel of John is often recommended as the best place to start for a new believer, and yet its rich truths can’t be exhausted, even by someone who’s been walking with Jesus for decades. Exploring key biblical themes such as salvation, sanctification, and especially the deity, teachings, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, The Gospel of John Bible study is a great resource to grow in your knowledge and understanding of God’s Word.

  • How should Christians live in a pagan culture? Why does evil often seem so powerful? When will the world end?

These are questions we often receive at Core Christianity. And whether you’re a new believer or have been walking with Christ for decades, Core Christianity’s Daniel Bible study will help you see how God, through one “like a son of man,” will end evil and rescue his people, raising them from the dead to live with him forever.

  • Many people know the story of Jonah and the big fish, but few could say why it’s in the Bible. And fewer still understand what Jonah’s calling and message have to do with God’s Son who would come hundreds of years later. Written by Pastor Adriel with Josh Maloney, this Bible study will help you behold God’s mercy and justice as it leads you into a deeper understanding of how the Old Testament points to the work of Christ.

  • Why does Jesus speak in parables? What’s the kingdom of God like? Do we become citizens of the kingdom of God by achievement, right, or gift? These are questions we often receive at Core Christianity. And whether you’re a new believer or have been walking with Christ for decades, Core Christianity’s The Parables of King Jesus Bible Study will draw you into the promises of the coming kingdom and its great king.

  • Maybe you understand the gospel. You know you’re justified by faith in Christ alone, but you still wonder sometimes how you’re supposed to live. At the heart of the letter of Paul to the Philippians is Christ, the model servant, who Paul presents as the true picture of the Christian life. This Bible study will help you see how to live and what to live for—and how God assures us that he will provide everything we need to follow him.

  • Revelation is for the everyday Christian, and yet it can be a daunting and difficult book. We commissioned this study in order to help bring clarity to the Bible’s final book. Written by pastor and scholar Dennis Johnson, this Revelation Bible study will help lift your eyes to the Lamb who was slain for our redemption, reorienting you to the wonderful hope we have in our conquering King.

  • How does God redeem our suffering? What does his providence look like? How do we rightly study the Old Testament? Whether you’re a new believer or have been walking with Christ for decades, Core Christianity’s Ruth Bible Study will strengthen your faith as you consider God’s redemptive work in human history.

  • Paul writes his letter to the Romans in order to help the church get the gospel right. This gospel is the power of God for salvation, and as Paul proclaims, explains, and applies this good news, he fleshes out some of the most foundational truths of Christianity: faith, righteousness, justification, sanctification, and glorification. The Letter of Paul to the Romans study is a great resource to help you or someone you know understand the core truths of the Christian faith.
